About the Makers
Franco and Benno Fiorito developed their passion for limoncello during a visit to Sicily, where they tasted handmade limoncello for the first time. Once back in Amsterdam, Benno started making the drink in his own kitchen. Based on the family recipe and with pure alcohol and organic lemons, brought from Italy. From 2007 onwards, Benno made the limoncello for his friends, but when more people became interested, it was time to come up with a name. It became ‘Limoncello di Fiorito’. The success at restaurant Toscanini in Amsterdam, which immediately ordered the drink, led to the creation of their own brand in 2007.

Production Process
Fiorito’s limoncello is produced with the greatest care. In contrast to the usual machine processes, the lemons are peeled by hand to avoid the bitter taste that often occurs with machine-peeled lemons. This process ensures that the limoncello has a rich and full flavor that remains true to the original family recipe. The production company that makes the limoncello has made the necessary adjustments to integrate the manual peeling technique, which contributes to the high quality of the final product.

Sustainability
The limoncello and lemon infused rum are made with organic lemons and pure alcohol, which minimizes the ecological footprint. Using the manual peeling technique prevents wastage of lemons and maintains flavor integrity. This focus on sustainable and responsible production methods reflects Fiorito’s commitment to both quality and environmental friendliness.
